Welcome to THE GROWTH OF THE SOIL. The idea behind this blog, like the idea behind the blogosphere itself, is to provide a single online location for my disparate group of friends and acquaintances to communicate with me and with each other in an open and archived forum.

Given my nature, it is a good bet that much of the content that I post here will be related to politics in one way or another, but no one who is interested in contributing to this page should feel limited to posting about politics.

If you want to contribute and I haven’t yet sent you an invite, please let me know and I will forward one along to you. The more contributors we have, the more interesting the site will be, and the more people will visit.

Also, if anyone has any suggestions for links, they would be greatly appreciated.
